VILLAGE WEEKLY
The Village Weekly, published by the Lifestyles Department, highlights special happenings, welcomes new residents and provides a weekly listing of the hundreds of programs available to residents.

VOLUNTEER SERVICES
Friendship Village offers numerous opportunities for service both on and off campus. Our corps of volunteers includes residents, high school students, members of community and business organizations and others interested in making a difference.

SPIRITUAL LIFE
The Lifestyles team includes two full-time chaplains who provide a comprehensive spiritual life program for all faith traditions. Opportunities include weekly interfaith worship services, daily morning prayer, Bible study, educational seminars, monthly Shabbat services and Communion services. Friendship Village offers free transportation to numerous local churches for Sunday worship.

COURTESY TRANSPORTATION
Friendship Village provides daily transportation to a variety of popular destinations, including local grocery and discount stores, the Schaumburg Township District Library, malls, movies, restaurants and doctor's offices. Residents also have opportunities each month to sign up – at an additional fee – for tours and trips to cultural destinations.

LIFELONG LEARNING
The Lifestyles team includes a full-time Lifelong Learning Coordinator who works with residents to develop educational and cultural opportunities both on and off campus. Friendship Village partners with both Roosevelt University and Harper College to provide college-level courses and seminars on a monthly basis. Lifelong Learning also coordinates cooking demonstrations, government forums, Elderhostel and social groups, such as our Red Hats Club.
